The “Better Than Leather” or BTL line offers a bit more durability and flexibility than the fabric covered portfolios. We use a very high end material that we believe is better than real leather for many reasons: It won’t stretch out, it won’t scuff, it won’t stiffen or crack, it can be cleaned with soap and a damp cloth and most stains can be easily removed with an alcohol based solution and it is a vegan and cruelty free product so you can rest assured that your portfolio will serve you for many years.
This horizontal or landsdcape format Hidden Screw Post Portfolio differs from the EXPOSED SCREW POST PORTFOLIO in that the posts are hidden under the cover on the inside of the book rather than being visible from the outside. This style offers a simpler, more reserved look while still allowing for the easy addition or removal of pages. The structure of the BTL hidden screw post portfolios differs slightly from the cloth covered portfolios in that we removed the second hinge that flapped over the screws.
While most portfolios available on the market have flimsy paper liners or endsheets, these are lined entirely with the high quality BTL or linen bookcloth of your choice. The BTL or cloth is carefully wrapped around a thin board so there are no unfinished edges that can pull up, wrinkle or fray. This is a very sharp portfolio that is sure to impress. If you do not order any pages with your portfolio, a template for punching holes into your own pages will be sent with your order.
The actual page size that fits this portfolio is 11″ x 17 7/8″ with a visible/useable area of 11″ x 17″
All portfolios are handmade to order and will be covered in your choice from the “Better Than Leather” line . You can choose to have your portfolio covered entirely in one BTL color or you can choose to order a multi color portfolio, one color for the cover and a second color for the inner liners. You may also choose to have the liners covered in one of the available fabrics. Storage and presentation POCKETS are available in a variety of styles and orientations and can be added to any portfolio.
Debossing and Foil Stamping are available for the “Better Than Leather” portfolios. Please see the color chart to see which options are available for your covering choice. You can add one of these unique personalization options to your portfolio in the personalization and accessories sections of the online store.
If you are interested in a protective presentation box to house your portfolio just order an 11 x 17 x 1” box in any style and from the drop down menu choose that you’d like the box to fit the portfolio that you ordered and your box will be built fit the portfolio. At this time boxes are only available in the fabric options, they are not available in “Better Than Leather”.
This Hidden Screw Post Portfolio is shipped with 3 aluminum screw posts that will allow for ¼” stack of pages and 3 1/4″ extensions. If you order hinge strips or pages along with your portfolio the proper length posts will be included.
Please Note pages are not included with portfolios. You can either print your own pages or you can choose to use our hinge strips, hinged pages or protective sleeves. All of the page options that we offer can be found here.
